Hi and congratulations on beginning your Spark journey!
There's so much here to help you along the way and excellent advice to setting and achieving healthy goals. With the thousands and thousands of fellow Sparkers you will always find someone you can connect with. I am always amazed how many lives have been changed for the better through the use of SparkPeople.
If you have not already done so, I suggest that you check out the videos in the "Healthy Lifestyle" section. Scroll down for the site orientation videos.
That should point you in the right direction. I find that if you just start looking around Spark, you will quickly learn about the wonderful tools available for your use. After being a Sparker since 2007, I still find something new and very useful.
Welcome! Sparkpeople will help you get on track. I suggest you start by logging your food every day to see how you are doing calorie wise and also nutrition wise. You can really learn a lot from using the food tracker and running a report at the end of the day. It's not hard to do, either.. Also, be sure and join some teams where you can find like-minded people and make friends who will help support you on your journey to a healthier life. Enjoy SparkPeople and best of luck!

My name is Lori and I'm glad to meet you. I am just grasping at straws trying to lose weight. I have been on so many different diets and I succeed for a while then I just start eating all the wrong things again. I want to be healthy and be able to play with my grandson who is 4 years old and very active. I'm 66 years old but don't really feel like it. I still work which keeps my getting up and out each day. I really need your help and support. What do I do next???
