Hi thanks so much for the uplifting words! The Metabolic Miracle has been around a few years and has been developed by an RN. It is really common sense - but I have to eliminate sugars/carbs for three days as Step One (Detox) UGH! Actually it isn't so bad - I pretty much stopped eating bread, don't eat pasta (I am weird I don't really like it?) I just discovered the book and have been reading this weekend....

I am gonna hit the treadmill here shortly at the gym (or possibly the trail with my husband) we haven't run outside in long time and have a challenging course we take...hmm...maybe today?

Thanks again for your lovely words.

Cindy

Hello! I just stopped by to welcome you to SparkPeople.

I've never heard of the Metabolic Miracle. Is it a new, popular diet?

You don't have to gain weight just because you're getting older. If you eat right and stay active then everything will turn out fine. Good luck!

I just joined this site to receive motivation and support for my weight loss challenge. I have been struggling with weight and body image my whole life and was pleased to have reached my best weight ever and smallest size for my wedding in July 2010. Since then I have been able to maintain until ugh the change set in! I work out six days per week, I run (will be running today) on the treadmill and outside but being female we are screwed! I don't have a lot to lose but enough to make my clothes fit again. I am working on the Metabolic Miracle and starting step one today. Can someone let me know if it works? I do not want to feel I have to be overweight for my life just because I am getting older..Thanks so much (and I hope that this doesn't sound shallow), I try to keep myself mentally and physically challenged..
