Congrats on taking the first step into changing your life to a more healthier one by joining the site. Spark is filled with amazing people that will motivate, support and encourage you on your journey. There is so much to learn and discover here, take this one day at a time. A couple of things I would like to suggestion to make you Spark experience a great one.

1. Make goals for yourself. Each month I make a list of what I want to accomplish that month and break them down to smaller goals to work with week by week. This way the BIG picture doesn't seem so big.

2. Join Spark teams. There are tons of teams here and you will be able to find ones that fit to what you like or want in a team.

The key to success here is to be active and you've already started by joining. You will find that everyone is willing to help you out if you need it. Spark friends are here for support, motivation and encouragement. Good luck on your journey to a healthier lifestyle! Again, welcome to the SP family!

Hello and emoticon !! My name is Angela and I have been on this site since June 2012. Congratulations on taking your first steps to a brand new you and a new weight loss experience where you are supported by en entire community of like-minded people. This website is dedicated to helping people who want a healthier lifestyle including issues with eating healthy and exercising, as well as support forums where we talk about specific issues.

And how am I doing.... 49.25 inches lost all over, and 46.6 pounds lost in 8 months. I have been a bit of a cheater and eating a lot of cereal lately, so my weight loss has stalled these past 2 months, but the inches are still coming off. It's a blessing to be part of this community, and I am sure glad I found it when I did. I can BREATHE again!

So welcome and enjoy! If you have questions, you can always reach out and send me a SparkMail, or stop by my SparkPage at the link below. We can do this together, with encouragement and support from others, and SparkPeople has really great resources for any kind of workout or condition!

Welcome, Welcome, Welcome, and Enjoy!

Hi there. My name is Cassie and I'm 20 years old (as of tuesday!) and I was referred to this site by a customer actually. I work at a Fleet Feet Sports in Southern California and I had the sweetest customer come in and tell me about her success with this site. I joined this site to simply help me lose weight. So far, I've lost 38lbs since High School. I used to be 190lbs and a softball player, so it was mostly muscle. But I've stopped playing since then and now, I'm at 152lbs. I lost this by simply altering my diet just a little bit and it all came off! I don't exercise as often as I'd like to but when I do, I usually take a jog around the local school and do some occasional hiking. I hope within the next month that changes! I'll be moving to Illinois in March so I'll definitely be working on getting myself into a gym. So for the time being, I'll focus on my diet.

How are you all doing? :)
