Hi Vanna and Welcome to Sparkpeople! You are very smart for choosing to do this for health. I BELIEVE in SP. I am 55 years old and have lost 66 pounds so far!!!
There are two keys to success: 1) tracking your food and staying in calorie range and 2) fitness minutes. The thing about fitness is you can start small with 5-10 minutes. It also helps to read blogs. You can start with one I wrote:

Hello everyone, I just wanted to introduce myself, I'm a newbie on this site and I just joined several days ago. My name is Vanna, i'm currently attempting to finish my degree in university and I also wanted to begin my journey on improving my own life and living a healthier one. I've been heavy for most of my life, I've tried so many things to lose the weight. Some were successful but somewhere along the line I fell off of it and ended up back where I started. I joined this site in hope to meet other people working towards similar goals as I am and motivate one another to continue pushing through it all. I'm not sure of what else to say, but thought i'd just give a short introduction :)
