Welcome Stacy, I wish you all the luck here at Sparks. I have found the people here are friendly and down to Earth. There is a lot offered here for free, (for a fee,a training coach). And don't forget to check out the groups.
Stacy, mom to 4 (22 to 6), wife and self employed. Goals for losing are 210 by 6/31/2014 and long range be 180 by 12/31/14. Been 220 to 245 for 17 years yoyoing thru pregnancies and after. Portion control and eating many times in a day is problem. Not hungry during day then main meals i have double helpings (if portion controled 4x). Learning the plate and bowl i have chosen is my down fall. We live on a budget for food which includes husbands lunches in semi. Left overs from dinner are my meals in daytime. I know protiens are good. Im not a saltaholic. I can go without sodas. Water no problem if im concentrating on it. Im not a outdoorsy type but just got a dog last september and i am soul caregiver for him. I live in Northern MN so -30 is not unnormal for us 5 months of the season. House bound mostly so dvds are my choice. Towns are 40 mns to 1 hr away for parks and gyms school facilities. I dont like working out alone and buddies are hard to come by here. Learning that 40 in April is coming fast and my mother was diagnosed with diabetes and the rest of family already has it. So this is a big thing to be healthy. Blood sugar so far 95 range for me.
