emoticon You have found the perfect site to accomplish your goals! The resources here are awesome: get information about any category of activity you choose, about any physical condition - whatever you need. Join teams, accept challenges, make friends (many will become real friendships with people who genuinely care about you!) Meanwhile, you will see that the weight will come off: track everything you eat and all of your activity. Follow the guidelines here. And you are welcome to contact me at any time I can be helpful or supportive in any way! emoticon

The best way to get to know others and to let them know you is to crate a Spark Page for yourself. Because we don't use our real names unless we wish, it allows for anonymity but also allows us to have a community of people who are heading in the same direction of health.
Go to my page and others who answer your introduction and give them a chance to get to know you. Get to know the others on the teams that you have been assigned.
I have met other ladies in my area that are also on Spark and we meet and walk at nearby parks. This site has changed my life.. It can also help you.
Welcome to the Spark People community.

I signed up about a week or so ago and was really slow to get started, and a little shy about introducing myself. I have been making more of an effort to get involved and find help to reach my goals. I weigh about 172 lbs which is way more than I have ever weighed. I need to lose about 35 lbs and want to be healthier for my kids. I hope to get to know some of you, get healthy, lose some weight, and maybe even make a friend or two!
