Welcome to the SparkPeople Message boards! It can be overwhelming when you are standing at the starting line and you feel there may be too many obstacles to over come. My advice is to start small. One day, one choice at a time.
Try to take a few days to become familiar with the resources here. Set a goal to drink enough water each day for a week. When you complete that goal, move on to making sure you track your food for a week. No matter if you are under or over your ranges, just track it. Become familiar with what you are consuming so you can find out where you need to make changes to become a healthier you. Maybe try to just get 10 minutes a day of walking in for yourself. In time, you will find you will walk longer than 10 minutes and it all adds up!
Don't focus on what you can't control. Focus on what you CAN control. You are worth the effort.
