Hmm, stay away from Chinese made products? Wonder if you can get a non-Chinese made Polar HRM?

Yep.Made in China.

Just picked mine today again ( for the forth time in last 2.5 years). What is annoying that watch is fine, its transmitter causing problems after a while. To purchase new one cost around 40.
I decided add 3 year store guarantee policy - just in case.

My Polar F6 has lasted a few years and no problems - one battery change.

Something hubby noticed last night though might be relevant. He's had continual problems with a few HRM brands, including a Polar. He noticed that my Polar was made in Hungary and his was made in China. Maybe that's relevant?

Can anyone recommend good heart rate monitor? I have been using Polar FT7. It works fine for about 5-6 months, afterwards i always have problems with wear link transmitter. Changing batteries makes no difference. Luckily it has 2 year guarantee but i am getting fed up going to the shop every 6 months.

Thank you
