some people get racing heart beat due to something they ate (too much sodium for example) or from medicines. I can't take most decongestants because of that.

It has only happened twice....this time and the last. I felt completely fine and it just happened without any kind of warning.

Could it be the palpitations again? I really don't have a reason for you. Maybe you should consult a doctor? Was this the only time it happened recently?

I was working out on the treadmill yesterday and I ran for 8 minutes, walked and started to run again. As soon as I started running again, my heart started racing and I had to jump off. I thought I was going to pass out and it took me a couple minutes to feel right again and for my heart to stop racing.

A little background: I have been exercising consistently since October and go 5 days a week with the same level of intensity that I had yesterday & have not had this problem. I did have this same thing happen to me about 1 1/2 years ago and I went to the doctor and had an EKG, holter monitor, etc...and the only thing they could find was palpitations.

This freaked me out and it makes me nervous to exercise again. Has this happened to anyone else or does anyone have any idea why this might happen? Thank you!
