My toddler grandchildren love hummus and vegetables. You can make hummus very easily by whizzing a can of chick peas (garbanzos) in a blender, adding in a little garlic paste, half a teaspoon of cumin, lemon or lime juice and a little water to blend. Depending on the age of the kids, you can add a dash or two of tabasco for a little extra zing. Serve with strips of pepper in traffic light colours, sticks of raw carrot, celery stalks or any other veg that takes your fancy. It also goes well with nacho chips or pitta chips. You can vary it by using other cooked beans.

Tacos are fun. Have some shells out and some various ingredients and everyone can make their own.
You can smash it up and make taco salad, too.
