Replaced my DVD player so I could dust off my Sweatin to the oldies 2......proud I could keep up with this 55minute video. Now that's progress in my book!

I have had such an enjoyable mini break from work. Got some spring cleaning done. Easter menu planned and some very good workouts in. I rearranged my exercise space and turned my treadmill around so I am looking out the window while walking.

Good day at work yesterday, lunch was amazing. Walked 1.76 miles after work yesterday. Was so much nicer to be out in the sunshine instead of on the treadmill. It was very invigorating. Have the next 3 days off, so I am planning to get in some spring cleaning. Going to run to the market in the bit for some cleaning supplies and to pick up some salmon for dinner. Saw a very yummy looking recipe. That's it in a nutshell, time to get moving.

It's my week to work Saturday. Making a Strawberry Spinach salad for the girls and I today. I would have to say that is my favorite salad ever! One of the girls will be bringing some grilled chicken to add to the salad and the other will be bringing some hard boiled eggs. Mmmmmm, I can hardly wait.

We have a winter weather warning for tonight through Monday. Could see up to a foot of snow! Gotta love springtime on the mountain. Looks like my work outs will be indoors for a bit longer. Or maybe......I could try out my snow shoes. LOL, not much of a cold weather fan, but after being cooped up all winter maybe a day in the woods with nature would be a welcome change.

Well off to get ready to start my day, feeling great! Have a sparktacular Saturday!

No walk outside yesterday. It was just too cold for me. 14 degrees, windy and snow. Your typical spring day. emoticon I did walk for 2+ miles on the treadmill and then cleaned up my exercise room. It looks great! Back to work today. Have a lunch date with a friend. I am armed with knowledge so I know I will do well with my choices. For an appetizer I plan to order a to go box for my entree and put half of it in the container before I start to eat. Portions are far to large for one!

A little bit about me........

My name is Sandi, I am 56, young grandmother of 5, mom of 4 and married to my childhood sweetheart for 38 years this May. I'm also mommy to 4 cats. I work for a bank call center. Being outdoors is my favorite thing, I scuba dive, kayak, hike and bike!

My struggle with weight began in 2001 when I quit smoking. For the first time in years I was able to really taste and enjoy food. It became my new best friend. Then the big "M" hit. Menopause threw my hormones and metablolism out of whack. My all time highest weight was 215 pounds. I have lost and gained more times that I care to remember.

I know I have to change things if I want to live a long healthy life. So that is what I plan to do.

To date I have lost 15 pounds and 6inches. I am creating healthy new habits. This is my journey to a healthy new me. It's my day off today so I am going to celebrate my 1 pound loss with a walk outside today. Have a great day sparkers! emoticon
