That was no small feat! Congrats for having the willpower to make the choices you did! A lot of people might have justified the indulgence because they were out of ingredients, etc. But you didn't, and you should be proud of that! Great non-scale victory :)) It's choices like that that eventually add up to permanent and significant changes in weight :)

Another cold New England Morning woke up and decided to warm up the kitchen and house by making big breakfast for the kids. Decided on French Toast and Maple Breakfast Sausage which I intended to enjoy with them. Used fat free egg beaters, cinnamon, stone ground wheat bread and canola cooking spray for the French Toast. Unfortunately didn't buy Jenny-O Breakfast sausage so they were standard maple breakfast links. I did have a bite approximately a quarter of a breakfast sausage link when cutting to make sure they were cooked. While cooking I had a glass of Lower Sodium V8 and 8 oz of water. Once the meal was ready I realized if I had it I would probably overeat and use syrup etc. so instead I decided to have oatmeal - which of course we were out of so again was tempted to get derailed but instead opted for a bowl of Kashi Heart to Heart Cereal with 1% milk. I am Woo Hooing because I made a hot breakfast for my children but reduced the fat in it significantly, I realized the meal had the potential to derail me an opted for a "safer" choice. I also didn't let being out of some foods (oatmeal & skim milk) derail me, and lastly all that I ate including the bite of sausage are accounted for in my tracker. I have consciously made choices that are new to me and set myself up to move happily into the rest of my day staying on track instead of being disappointed and setting up a binge for the rest of the day! Woo Hoo!
