Red pepper hummus
16 oz can garbanzo beans drained and rinsed
1 Tbsp olive oil
1 med red bell pepper cut 1/2 in pieces
1 Tbsp tahini
1 fresh lime juice
1.5 Tbsp water
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1/4 tsp garlic powder
Blend ingredients in food processor or blender

Quick greek yogurt spinach dip
8 ounce plain greek yogurt
1/2 cup pre cooked and chopped spinach
1 clove minced garlic
Mix together and chill for at least a few hours

Fat Free Ranch Dip

1 cup fat free mayo
1 cup ( 8 ounce container ) fat free sour cream
1 packet Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing (dry mix)
1/4 cup fat free 1/2 & 1/2

Mix all ingredients in a glass jar with cover. Easy to shake and store.

Makes an excellent salad dressing too !! .

50 calories per 1/4 cup !!


1 (10 ounce) package frozen chopped spinach, thawed and squeezed dry of any liquid
1 cup (8 ounce container) fat free sour cream
1 cup mayonnaise
1 envelope dry vegetable soup mix - Knorr brand is the best for flavor

Combine all in a large bowl. Mix well and place in fridge for a few hours. YUMMMYY
Stir before serving

I am sure there are plenty of recipes--but try a roasted eggplant and roasted peppers dip/spread. I think it is full of flavor and very low on fat and calories.

I am looking for healthy but tasty dips for me to make when I go on my vacation. I know there are recipes on this site, and I plan on looking at them but I want to know of the ones that you have tried and liked.
