Prepare the pasta with only fresh ingredients. Don't use already prepared sauces (make homemade sauce; it's not difficult at all) and limit your cheese; these two are the main culprits in driving up the sodium count in pasta dishes.
Read the pasta package and choose one that has the least sodium added.

Penne with Tomato and Feta
* 1/2 box Penne pasta cooked and drained * 1 can of diced tomatoes, drained * 2 tablespoons olive oil * 2 teaspoons of diced garlic * 2 tablespoons basil * 1/4 cup crumbled Feta cheese
I'm constantly craving pasta - and as a vegetarian, I get plenty of carbs as is. So, does anyone have any good pasta dishes that are also full of protein and low in sodium? I know this is a lot to ask. Thanks!
