It's so sad that SP didn't renew its license. If you want to access the same basic feed from the vendor that previously supplied this to SP, you can find it at: http://consumer.healthday.com/
The HealthDay site also lists their licensees, and some of these sites are attractive options too. For those interested, you can find the list here: http://www.healthday.com/licensing-news.ht m. Here's a sample of their information on licensee sites, including some diet/health sites:
HealthDay is featured on more than 5,000 websites including:
eHealth & Media Yahoo MSN Healthy Living Everyday Health WebMD iVillage US News & World Report Western Schools Newsday HealthMonitor Better Medicine from HealthGrades Drugs.com ShareCare from Dr. Oz
MAINEALI Not sure what you mean. It used to be 3 points, but Spark upped it to 5 when they combined the Health News with the Health A-Z.
The Health News is gone but A-Z is still there and I just got 5 points for reading an article.
Edit: P.S. Did you click on the button to get your points? You have to scroll to the bottom of the page to find that button, but it is still there....

When you go to the Health A-Z listing on the drop down menu, it says you receive points for reading the article but of course we don't. Why not? The stuff is there and so is the points button. Points don't cost Sparkpeople anything and it's a way to stay motivated. Sparkpeople just keeps taking away ways to earn points. Are they going to do away with points altogether soon? I love the points!

Spark_Coach_Jen stated in her reply, "So hopefully this will improve the info shared on our site overall."
Are you serious? How can the REMOVAL of such a timely and informative feature such as Health News contribute to "improved" info????? Think about what you are saying here.

Can anyone provide information on the vendor that provided the Health News feed to SP, or know whether any other diet sites have a relationship with them and post their articles? I'd really like to find a way to continue to get that feed. Any info appreciated.

The previous poster is correct. In addition, we feel the content we create ourselves is higher quality and more focused on a healthy lifestyle. So hopefully this will improve the info shared on our site overall.
