Nope, I didn't follow any gimmicky diets. I just ate healthy, clean and balanced. Stayed in my Spark's range and did cardio and strength training. I went from overweight and flabby to thin, fit and ripped in 7-8 months.
"Toning" is marketing muscles to women who are afraid if they pick up a barbell, they'll leave the gym looking like She-Hulk. It doesn't happen, what does happen is you get results. Lifting Barbie weights does nothing but waste time.
There is a team on here for the 17 Day Diet. It is actually very sustainable for life. Don't let the name throw you off.

No, and don't intend to as I'm doing well with the Spark People suggestions!! I'd rather focus on my long term sustainable nutrition plan, even if my weight loss is slower. Slow is good--especially at my age! lol! :)
However, there have been other posts on this topic. In the Message Board Search window, put in 17 day Diet, open in a new window (if needed) and you will find a lot of other posts....
You might also want to check with some of the Spark Coaches for their input.

I recently purchased the book and read into it a little bit. I was wondering if anyone on here has tried the diet and if they've had success with it. Thanks!
Also, if anyone has, what was some of their favorite recipes with the first phase of this diet?
