I will direct you to Spark's Limited Mobility lifestyle center:

I just learned about this site when I was trying to find exercises to do with an injured heel. There are a LOT of resources there for you. Definitely check out teams as well. Good luck!

emoticon Welcome to Spark. You have taken an important step on your journey by joining!
I've been a member a little over 4 years. I made fantastic progress and lost 100 pounds in the first year BUT I became careless about nutrition and exercise and have gained a lot of the pounds back! I became disgusted with myself and closed my Spark account, but soon realized I NEEDED to be here. I'm back using the nutrition and exercise trackers now - they are so important. The sense of community and the friendships I have made here keep me going!
Explore the site, make your Sparkpage if you havenít, join teams, and make friends. You will find this site an amazing place full of encouragement, inspiration, advice, and support. We are here to keep everyone motivated.
Iíve found that the best source of motivation on spark is posting, asking questions, and finding new friends that are in this together. We are all on this journey of a healthy live style, so your not alone in this. People need someone to believe in them. They need to know that if they take that first step out of their comfort zone, someone will be supporting them all the way. With small words of encouragement, with just a little extra time, that someone could be you. In some cases, others may just be unaware of their true abilities and potential.
Have you checked out the Chair Exercise team here on Spark? It is excellent! You can do a search for it OR just go to my page and click on it in my team list.
Please let me know if there is anything I can help you with.
Good luck!

emoticon emoticon emoticon WELCOME TO SPARK!!! emoticon emoticon emoticon
Congrats on taking the first step into changing your life to a more healthier one by joining the site. Spark is filled with amazing people that will motivate, support and encourage you on your journey. There is so much to learn and discover here, take this one day at a time. A couple of things I would like to suggestion to make you Spark experience a great one.

1. Make goals for yourself. Each month I make a list of what I want to accomplish that month and break them down to smaller goals to work with week by week. This way the BIG picture doesn't seem so big.

2. Join Spark teams. There are tons of teams here and you will be able to find ones that fit to what you like or want in a team.

The key to success here is to be active and you've already started by joining. You will find that everyone is willing to help you out if you need it. Spark friends are here for support, motivation and encouragement. Good luck on your journey to a healthier lifestyle! Again, welcome to the SP family!

Hi and welcome. So glad you are here to make a change! Get familiar with everything and join some teams. Teams are good for motivation, support and accountability. I am adding a couple of links to teams I think you might like but I would suggest you use the teams search bar and type in things like your hobbies/interests or at least the first number of your age followed by a 0 and something. Example "30 something", good luck on your journey!

emoticon I am wheelchair bound. Things I tried are pool exercises. Cutting calories... but not lost an ounce! Any helpful idea would be appreciated.
