if you love curry, make it lighter. whether you used butter, ghee, or olive oil, try cutting out 1/4 of it the next time you make it. see how that tastes and as you get used to that lower level, cut it back by that amount again. i tend to make curries to clean out my fridge because they freeze so well and i rarely use more than a Tablespoon of olive oil [and sometimes less] to make them. my yield runs in the 6-8 cup range and the calories run under 200, and generally about 100 cals per cup. the second part of making it lighter is bulking up on the veggies. try doubling at least one vegetable, if not two. again, if that works, try it again so that you're increasing the portion of vegetable without adding any more of the higher calorie items.
do the same with the rice, try cutting out 1/4 of the butter you add. make it a few times to get used to it and cut it down by that much again, and one more time if you can.
those three things are going to make that kind of meal that much more doable in your diet. and yes, i use the primary definition of diet, which is simply what one eats.

I suspect that you have only recently started this healthy lifestyle journey. It is recommended that we make changes using baby steps. This means changing just one or two things to start with and allowing your mind/body to get used to those changes before adding something else to the mix. This includes WHAT and HOW MUCH you eat, as well as with exercise.
HOW LUCKY ARE YOU that you have a husband who can make Lemon Meringue Pie :-) Mine couldn't figure out why the kids (when they were young) wouldn't eat the poached eggs he had done for them. I asked how he did them and he said "just the same as normal - I put them into cold water and brought them to the boil" - LOL! NO WONDER they were like rubber. He would never have starved, but he was certainly not renowned for his culinary skills!
NOW, if you have a look at my weight ticker you will see that I have lost a considerable amount of weight. You will also see that I am at my goal. I had been overweight for about 30 years. It took 16 months to lose the first (just over) 50lb. I always practiced one day per every two weeks to have whatever I wanted. Sometimes it was a big pig-out and sometimes just a bit of whatever. (Sometimes I didn't even bother to have my splurge because I didn't feel like it.) The point is, planning for this by eating toward the lower end of your range most of the time can actually HELP you to reach your goal. The reason is that you are far less likely to get bored or feel deprived, and those are two of the main reasons why people fall off the wagon in the first place.
I am sure that with the start of your day you will be back on track - just don't be hard on yourself and enjoy last night's memory :-)

Hello, I lost 2lb last week then blew it! I cooked a delicious curry last night, pilau rice (with butter), naan bread, salad etc Ate a huge portion with a couple of alcoholic drinks. My husband had made lemon meringue pie so I ate a lot of that. Now I fear I have undone last week's good work. I need some motivation to get back on track!
