I'm going to give you one piece of advice that I give to all new members and those looking for motivation,"Don't look at good health or weight loss with an all or nothing mentality". If the only healthy thing you did for yourself was drink 8 glasses of water, that's still a step in the right direction.
Set some reasonable as well as realistic goals. Challenge yourself, but don't set yourself up for failure either. Example, if you're not eating 6-9 servings of fresh fruit and veggies, set a goal to eat 2-3 servings each day for one week. if you're not drinking 8 glasses of water, set a goal to drink 2-4 glasses each day for one week. if you're not exercising, don't start with an hour a day, set a goal to take a 30 minute walk each day for one week. Once you've achieved those goals, then you set new ones.
And that's how a person start a HABIT. they start with some simple, achievable goals. Because the goal isn't losing weight. The goal is to create habits that will help you to take the weight off and keep it off.
So, if you're looking for ideas to restart your exercise routine, why not start with a daily 30 minute walk ? there are members who will tell you how they lost 100+ pounds just by walking and watching what they ate. walking is a wonderful way to ease back into a regular routine.
Before even deciding what encouragement you need, I think it is more important to decide why you are here and what made you leave in the first place.
My biggest inspiration and encouragement is looking at me out of my screensaver. I am doing this health journey to be the best and healthiest aunt i can be. I eat clean, I exercise sure, but i do so much more than that. The little peanut wants me to play with him. He wants me to crawl around on the floor and chase him. Then he rewards me with the cutest smile and baby noises. Soon he will be making words. he inspires me to be at my best. I would so much rather sit on the couch and watch tv but i see his little face and know that won't get me to my goals.
I am here to obtain the ultimate-- health-- 100% function of body, mind and spirit. Weightloss and getting fit are secondary to the cause.
Really look into your mind and determine what you really want. Reach for the stars this time. Think of anything and everything that you want for yourself and make your plan. Start slow. Come up with some daily goals. Some of mine are to stick with my meal plan, exercise 20 minutes a day, journal at least once a day even if it is only a sentence or two, read 1/2 hour a day, and repeat my affirmation for the day three times.
I am not saying it will be easy, I am not saying that it will be overly fun.
You won't get it by staring, wishing, drooling, hoping. You won't get it easy. You get it by getting off your butt and working for it every single second of every day for the rest of your life.

Welcome back. I have been a yo yo dieter. I started the year thinking very postive, "Happy Mind, Happy Body. " I now feed my body healthy home cooked meals, SP has encourged me, I get much more fruits n veggies in. I exercise daily. I now know that this body is mine, and No one will have to worship and take care of it but me.. Good Luck!

... i think you're going to need to be more specific; ideas for losing weight? for gaining muscle? For fun cardio? etc... ditto for encouragement. In general, the site has some good vids, a lot of people are doing various beachbody vid programs, etc.
