I feel your pain! Quite literally in fact. I am just coming off of what I have been calling a "sugar binge" myself. Truth is I know the only way to kick it is to get rid of sugar all together. I did it before and was able to lose a TON of weight staying away from sugar (except the 2 servings of fruit I was eating). It was hard at first, a true addict goes through withdrawal and everything. Headaches, mood swings, toxic (fake) hunger, even fatigue; gah it was horrible at first, but worth it when I didn't miss it anymore.
Now that I allowed myself to slip back into bad habit, I sort of dread the detox I am about to go through. Thing is I remember how great I felt when I was no longer a slave to cravings, and how flat my tummy was getting because the bloat was gone!!
I started by weaning myself away instead of cold turkey. I would remove sugar COMPLETELY for 3 days a week, and allow myself to have no more than 20 grams of sugar (besides fruit) each day after. After about 2 weeks I would increase the days until I was only eating fruit as a source of sugar. This of course meant no boxed or bagged foods with sugar in them as well, or even dressings or condiments.
It may sound hard to get to the point where you are not eating sugar in a processed form but it is doable and you will be amazed. how energetic you will begin to to feel. Eventually, when I felt ready I reintroduced a treat maybe once ever 2-3 weeks, but I wasn't vigilant enough and I lost it. Back to the basics for me!

Don't feel bad, I've done it too. Drink lots of water and eat "clean" tomorrow. You'll feel better when you get the sugar out of your system. And don't jump on everyone for not answering you immediately, everyone gets on spark at a different time.
I'm sure you're home by now, but I did just want to mention that in the future don't be discouraged that people don't immediately respond. You only waited 30 minutes before posting again. Sometimes (especially in the middle of the day) there aren't a lot of people on the boards. And a lot of times, people are just doing the quick short response topics (like 'How are you feeling?' or 'What did you eat for lunch?' etc.) to get their points.
Also, HOLD ON to this feeling of misery you're experiencing. Think about how badly you feel after days of eating candy, sugar, and crap. Next time you're getting a craving, remember this feeling to held you stay on track.

You just have to decide you are going to quit and do it!!!!
It's like a cycle, everytime you reintroduce it you have cravings. It's best if you can really try to purge the candy from your diet. What I do if I start to crave something sugary like candy or chocolate, I go for a scoop of peanut butter. It usually does the trick and I savor that scoop as long as I can.

What I do to stop the crave to just consume sugar is allow myself a little sugar-free piece of candy daily... chocolate or peanutbutter are my favorites. I eat it in the afternoon when I just want that extra pleasure boost to get through the day. I would suggest drinking lots of water and some herbal decaffinated tea to help cleanse and push the sugars through your body. Eat something high in protein, some raw nuts or chicken... you may feel a lag, but give your body time, when you constantly put sugar in it, your body uses the sugar first. When you condition your body to stop grabbing the sugar, then you metabolize the fats and proteins which give you a lot longer feeling of energy. No crash!

my suggestion would be to drink LOTS of water. I would think it would help wash some of the sugar out of your system.
Sorry for the rudeness. I am in such distress. I eat myself sick. I do notice when I start in I can't stop. I am drinking water and I grabbed a salad with a corn dog (wrong) for lunch. I still have 2 1/2 hours till I'm off then commute time for an hour. I just want to make it home so I can crash and sleep it off. Thanks everyone. I will practice this advice.
I feel your pain. I have a pretty intense desire for sweets too. I found that what's been working for me is to ensure that I have "replacement sweets" like fresh fruit on hand. I stock up on fresh fruit during my grocery shopping and carry at least 3 - 4 pieces of fruit with me to work. This way, when the cookies and candies are presented at work and I am wanting something sweet, I have my arsenal of fruit ready :-) I also drink plenty of water to keep me full. These tricks have worked for me, I hope they are of help to you.
I agree to get rid of it (I would just throw it out in the kitchen area or as far from my desk as possible. I wouldn't give it to my fellow employees because I don't want them to get sugar overload either.) Stock your desk with protein bars or low cal snacks like apple slices. I have a few bags of kale chips at my desk. Drink lots of water. No coffee (unless it is sugar free and decaf) or soda.
Might want to ratchet back the caffeine, too. That can cause an afternoon crash just as easily as sugar.
I've had a weakness for jelly beans since childhood, but I've replaced them with grapes, which are more healthy, of course. You can still overdo it with fruit, which contains natural sugars, but it's a lot more difficult, because fruit also helps you feel full.
I'm in the process of weaning myself off of diet soda and going over to water, and I'm finding that my cravings for sweets are going away, too. Something about the artificial sweetners in diet soda seem to help me crave sugar; maybe it's just me.

You have to give the members are chance to respond. Some times you might get an answer in a few minutes, but it could take longer too. Don't assume you're being ignored because you don't get an immediate answer. Give the members a chance to reply.
Now, what to do about a sugar overload ? Toss out the junk. If you don't want to waste the food, take it into work and leave it for the other employees or donate it to a food pantry. Out of sight. Out of mind. If it's not there to eat, you won't eat it. Replace that food with healthier snack options like fresh fruit. Whenever you have an urge for something sweet, have a piece of fruit. The natural sweetness of the fruit can and will help reduce your cravings for refined sugar. Eat an apple. Keep eating those apples until you feel sated. I have yet to meet the person who could binge eat apples.
The fact is, the more sugar you eat, the more you'll want. It really can be an addiction. So, if you know you're going to over eat the treats, then the treats have to go until you can portion control them. You can curb the sugar cravings, but it will take time. First, I highly recommend reading some of the great Spark articles on sugar cravings. The more you learn about WHY you want sugar, the better you'll be able to eliminate your need for sugar. And yes, a person can break a sugar addiction.
If your concerned with actually making it through the day I would immediately start drinking water throughout the day for natural cleansing.....continue eating healthy snacks through out the day like carrots, blueberries or almonds....Then end the evening with a healthy meal( grilled chicken and a salad)no fast or fried food and no sugary snacks...throw it out ..get it out sight and out of mind ...then just let your stomach rest after dinner...you've got tomorrow to make a fresh start!
I have eaten cookies and candy for 3 days now. When I got to work this morning I started eating candy like mad. Now I am extremely sick to my tummy. I feel the crash and burn. How can I rid my body of this feeling and clean it out while still staying at work?
