Unfortunately I am getting by with a very inexpensive TracFone, so no apps.

I use the Sworkit app on my Smartphone. No index cards required. You can choose the options available or customize your set up with the exercises available. It offers Strength,Cardio and yoga. Just set the timer with the app and follow along. A video demonstration comes with each routine. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details

This winter I put together some index cards with short exercises. Well, I lost them! But having a list has been helpful for when I should get up and do something. Without the list I diddle away too many minutes figuring out what to do. With the list it's just a matter of doing it for 10 minutes or so. I've been "keeping an eye out" for that little stack of cards, but instead I am just going to make a new one. Even if it is less extensive, it will be better than none at all!

How about walking in place while commercials are on. Some of them are long so you can rack up time exercising and you're using calories,. :)

I have also felt overwhelmed and alone...went through the year my dad died seeing him marginalized due to insurance regulations and assumptions and unfortunate mistakes. I think you have come to a safe and caring place here on SparkPeople. There will always be those who have walked a rough road to understand and inspire you. Becoming healthier can help you have more energy to recover emotionally and vice versa. I know that I will be hoping to hear more from you!

I just turned 50 in october,i was always a size 5 to size 7 my whole life till i had my 5 th child and i turned 40 that year...i NEVER LOST THE PREG.WEIGHT...The year i got pregnant,my only baby sis died in a car wreck and she was 8 months pregnant with twins,a girl and boy babies- they died too...I WAS DEVASTATED!!..from then on i comfort ate,and greif consumed me,so my only pleasure was eating,my new baby born9 months later was born with a cleft lip and pallet( 4 surgeries followed my baby girl starting when she was 10 wks old to close her lip...i again turned to food. Then my 4 th divorce,i suddenly had 3 kids to raise alone, food again was my escape!!! Then my father had a massive stroke, and 6 more strokes followed.as well as seeing grand mall seizures, diapering, the whole 9 !!!,as the only remaining child in my fam,i helped my mom care for him on hospice 22 months till he died...i was 170 pds at 5'3"/ 6 weeks in on this low carb, low sugar diet- no exercise yet,but i see i must add it ive lost 16 pds in 6 weeks,i have had visceral gut fat/ high Blood pressure /fibromyalgia/ IBS/ depression..ALOT ON MY PLATE,food was always there,i grazed all day long, snacked at middle of night!! I never knew about insulin, the liver being to clogged to breakdown fats, never knew carbs are the big culprit, new sweets were bad,but "I LIVED ON CARBS",very little meat, never ate eggs or almonds..now eggs everyday, avocado, almonds &cheese sticks are my snacks, stopped fast food and colas, reduced sugars to 9-15 grams daily/ carbs to 90 a day i dropped bread, noodles, rice, beans and potatoes- to substitute noodles i use spaghetti squash/ breads- i sub low carb thin corn tortillas and occasionally a half of a whole wheat pita pocket-toasted with healthy goodies inside,i get my "crunching " i crave...I've "ADDED BLACKENED SALMON 2 nights a week,ADDED steamed broccolli, spinach, mushrooms, squash, turkey,
chicken, turkey bacon, avocados, almonds.im always full now that i start my day with 2 scrambled eggs and cheese in corn tortillas with turkey bacon and tabasco, before i was starved 2 hrs after a bagel,i am so full i only eat a hand full of wasabi almonds and a string cheese for lunch, then i grill veggies or steam broccoli and eat blackened salmon,or chicken or fajitas,or some turkey meatballs in marinara over spaghetti squash/ i eat all i want but changed my choices, now "IM APPALLED AT MY PREVIOUS CARB AND SUGAR INTAKE!!! I get sick feeling to drink soda,I FINALLY FOUND "THE KEY TO BELLY FAT LOSS"thanks to Jorge cruise belly fat fast track book,I have lost almost 3 pds a week(17.5pds- in 6 weeks) i am taking high lignin flaxseed oil supplements daily,as well as CLA supplement.ive lost from size 16 to a 12 and ive got lots to go still but im amazed!!! I am finally cheering up but need support to forge on...
