I look at it as getting rewarded for meeting my goals as opposed to the other way- there are provisions for medical excuses and all too!

Each person has their own preferences and motivations :)

Sorry I am old fashioned and don't do apps. I didn't realize that was what this is.

I am not one to respond to negatives like that - all it would do would make me DEFINITELY NOT WANT TO GO TO THE GYM. Tell me I HAVE to and I am most likely to say OH YEAH and not do it just for spite. LOL It works for some people but not for me.

With love and caring from Nancy ... wishing all of you a wonderful, blessed, and precious day.

Definitely clever, but not for me (I personally don't do well with this kind of negative-reinforcement). I can see how it could be effective for others though, and if it motivates you, go for it!

I used it for the first time last week and was impressed. It's quite encouraging.

Yep! I use it! I enjoyed my $5 challenge to get me going and am starting my 'real' pact this week! It does time out sometimes automatically at the gym- but I submitted a bug report when it happened yesterday and they responded very quickly crediting my account for the workout! I think it's a great motivational tool!

so... its an app that charges you for not going to the gym 0_o
ummmm... no, thanks.
While I can see how it might make you more willing to go, I'd rather not pay to get an incentive. I rather have my results be my incentive.

Has anyone tried the app Gympact? I just got a new phone and have DLed and am curious as to whether other people have had success with the software helping them stay motivated.
