Howdy and welcome to Spark People! I have been on the site since last August, managed to shape up a lot despite starting with 100% resistance to the entire idea of exercise. I read the book The Spark and the approach the author described was very small steps, small goals, building small successes. Like starting out with 10 minutes of exercise (I can do that!) and small changes in nutritional choices. There are wonderful articles to read, very useful Stages and Strategies work and the trackers keep me honest. Enjoy! Try joining a Team or two (for fun) and make some Spark Friends. One of mine is in New Zealand, another in Australia and one in England, as well as many in the US and Canada.

You’ll get where you want to go as long as you are taking more steps in the right direction than the wrong one.
