There is some preliminary studies (small studies), showing a slight benefit of green coffee bean supplements and weight loss. But this is in no way ready for usage by the general public, regarding amounts to take, etc.

Many have tried. Few if any have reported any significant success, beyond perhaps a placebo effect.
