I am sure you have already cooked your beef cubes up, but here is something that my mom used to make that was a big favorite with us. You just put your beef in a large pot with some chopped onion, garlic, and a package of dry onion soup mix, add water until everything is covered. Bring to a boil and reduce to a simmer. This just cooks slowly for as long as you need it to, without letting all of the water cook off. She would then serve it with either mashed potatoes or noodles. It was a simple dish that filled up 5 hungry kids! And really, not bad on the calories and all because there isn't much too it! A nice salad or some green beans rounds out the meal.
