What a great way to serve your neighbours, and teach the youth to do the same.

Portion control. Healthy snacks you can take with you, too, might be good.

God be with your work.

Glad you are doing this and I have always like these activities when I did them and then when my kids were involved and I chaperoned. The memories last forever.

hey I've heard of Saddleback. Is that where Rick Warren is pastor? I read one of his books!

I belong to a megachurch -- Saddleback Church in Lake Forest, California. Our pastor and his family experienced the loss of their son in April and I have been doing a lot of extra volunteering since then to help out with some of the extra communications and it has been a great blessing to me. It has strengthened my faith and kept me away from eating!

I am glad to hear you found, by accident, such a wonderful thing to do. And that you're able to maintain your healthy lifestyle. That honors God, too, I think.

I am a volunteer youth minister for my church. I got sucked in by accident when i volunteered to help chaperone a lock in at the church. It has been some of the best times of my life. The kids are awesome, i love the adults, I can't wait to do this. we will be helping homeowners with things they cannot do such as staining decks, gardening, painting and cleaning. some of us will be building flower boxes.
To keep with SP, I will be getting in lots of exercise. I am not worried about the food. Though I have absolutely no control over what is served== the school cafeteria ladies will be making breakfast lunch and dinner, I am not worried about overeating.
