I think you're making good progress, so I wouldn't change anything for now. If you find your weight loss stops, then maybe it's time to look at shifting your nutrient ratios a little.

you will get a lot of arguing on here if eating low or lower carb is a good thing or not.

People can be as easily stuck in a rut with their mindset as their food!

I personally lose better eating lower carb, not low, but lower... around 100g net carbs a day.

If you fancy trying it, then try it, just lowering a little certainly will do you no harm

I am losing weight but very slowly .. like a pound a week and I'm meeting all my nutritional needs .. just thought my carbs were too high ...

Are you constantly low on other areas? Protein and Fats? Are you getting good nutrition from the lots of carbs? Meeting goals like B12 which come from meat/dairy sources?

If your diet is lacking in other areas, then yes, cut them and increase others to get a healthier balance.

Are you losing weight? Then you're doing fine. There's nothing wrong with carbs. They have loads of nutrition. Fruits and vegetables, whole grains, dairy - all are loaded with carbs, and loaded with nutrition. If you're losing weight, you're doing fine, and you don't need to change anything.

If you aren't losing weight, then look at your calories.

I find that my diet is almost always high in carbs .. I;m eating "good" carbs .. like fruit, nuts, brown rice .. so should I change this or is it fine to help me lose weight?
