I've never seen any items on the Spark wheel, but I know real prizes are given away sometimes.

I log on all the time from my phone it helps me stay accountable while on the move. While on vacation if you have internet access on your phone you can use it. Most Hotels have computer services available as a comp.

Hope that helps.

I use them as rewards and challenges, sometimes my menu gets boring so I get a new recipe and a reward of spark points, not to mention a great new dish! emoticon

I really love the spark points. It is motivating and keeps me centered on my main mission "Me!"

It took me a while to figure out how to get them but now that I know I try to get 50 to 75 per day. I read health wise articles, monitor my eating and fitness as well as socialize to stay involved.

I did find that if I add a food to my nutrition tracker and it was in error I still retain the point. That isn't what I was trying to do, I just figured it out.

Sparks makes me feel excited and up beat. One poster said if you think about it, it's kind of silly, but if you think about the result... it is motivation.

It works for me.

I like adding up the points by reading the articles and taking the polls and posting here on the message boards. It helps you interact and utilize all that sparkpeople has to offer. I love it. I like moving from level to level. Makes the site fun, not to mention how much you gain from all the blogs, articles, and quizzes you can read and take. emoticon emoticon

Ok so I don't mind getting so points for logging my exercise and food...but really...what do the points get you? Bragging rights? It's kind of silly when you stop and think about it.

I agree. How can some people for 3000 points and up the beginning of the month? I am lucky to get 100 points a day if I am being honest on the points I do each day.

It seems to me to get ideas on how to get more points you would look at your SparkPoints Page. The values for each activity are listed so you can decide where you want to put your efforts. I think the longer you are on the site that is what counts along with completing the activities. Plus you would want to max out your points in each category!

The Daily Points are where you get minimum of around 132 a day plus whatever your spin value is on the wheel. Let's say there are 31 days in a month then 132 x 31 days = 4092 points in a month. You will have around 48,000-49,000 points in a year depending on how consistent you are.

Hi BRIGHTIDEA05~

Go to your Account & Email Preferences on the Start Page
Scroll to where it directs you to Reset Spark Articles, Quizzes or Health A-Z & you are done!

Hope that was clear :)

I'am new at this and find it quite interesting. Would like to learn more. As I'am 180 and would like to lose 20 lbs, bur have arthritis of the knees so only do very light exercise, also when I do exercise my appetite increases as I have a tendency for low blood sugar and that only stays normal by eating small meals and often.

Hi! You'd be surprised how being consistent checking in, and spinning the wheel adds up, plus reading articles, voting on polls, referring friends all have points. I was 'out' for quite awhile, but have been coming back and learning more about the site every day! I'm trying to be more active here, and in my fitness quest. The more involved you are, the points will add up.
Blessings to you! emoticon

I guess it is a secret cause no one is giving specifics. I'm on here alot and I know that many times I get the message "you've already earned points..." so I don't know what else to find. Also I still cant' get the other fitness sparkpoints to work - I know it is user error but can't figure out where I track other types of exercise than strength and cardio - I went to quick and regular fitness tracker but no luck

What is the secret to so many points?
I'm lucky to get 100 a day. IS anyone willing to share the secret?

When quizzes were 10 points and you could have up to 5 a day, I was getting around 100 points/day. But how do some of these people have 3900 points at the very beginning of the month? Or when they have just started?

Check out your my SparkPoints page. There are lots of ways to get the points if you're going to lots of areas on the site. I usually get about 50/day, but I don't use all of the areas either.

I have noticed that some people have a ton of spark points. How is it possible to get them all? I just can't figure it out. I must be missing something. Does anyone know how they get so many a month? I get like normally around 100 or so but never what they are getting.
