There is nothing better for that new hip than regular use. I'm glad you'd rather see it wear out than rust out!

emoticon DENI! I'm sorry to hear you've been through the stress, pain, and long recovery involved with a hip replacement - talk about a major life stressor this year! Health issues can be among life's most overwhelming, too. It's great to hear that you're back...and that you've got a cousin who's gotten back to living a more fitness-centered life, too. This stuff all pays off! This site is the best, and I love that it's filled with enthusiastic people like you. All the best, and welcome back!

I have had a lot of health issues over the last 2 years and I had a hip replacement in February. I have gained so much weight and it's just been so much harder to get motivated to get up and do something about it but due to my job, and a cousin that has recently gotten back into fitness, I am here now, excited and ready to do my part. I love the tools available here to track fitness, nutrition and to be able to share! To whomever out there needs a motivational isn't going to fix itself, we have to take control and fix it. emoticon
