I've been Sparking for a little under a month. I am constantly suprised at how little I know about food/fitness/emotions.

Today, I had a bit of bad news. As I sat absorbing what was happening, and felt my breathing get quicker and my heart beating, I realized that I was starting to get up and go into the kitchen (I work at home- it's right there). I stopped and took a breath, then another breath, drank some coffee, and analyzed why I immediately turned to food, even though I wasn't physically hungry. It was a total lightbulb moment. I waited until my physical reaction had slowed down, did a bit more work, then had a healthy lunch with protein, veggies and fruit.

This is a remarkable thing, I almost can't get over it- and I just had to share with someone!

Today's excuses are tomorrow's regrets dressed in disguise.

If you eat crap, you feel like crap and that makes you want more crap.
