Hey! I'm also getting married this August and i also feel like im running out of time- which just adds stress= eating- recently ive started using the nutrition track on sparkpeople and that helps not only to SEE how much I eat but also to be HONEST with myself on how much im eating- my goal is to lose at least 10lbs - on top of the 5 lbs ive lost already! Good luck to all the other brides it helps seeing others are feeling the same way!

I am getting married Aug 11th, 2012. I know I had gained some weight, but when I tried my dress on this weekend, It was too tight. I need all the motivation and cheers I can get. Congrats to all the brides, and good luck with your weight loss goals!

I am getting married in August as well. Congrats to everyone! My biggest weight loss obstacle is work and social events. I can't say no to friends. Suggestions?

Hi Sandra. Yes, mine does feel like it is right around the corner because I still have not reached my goal yet and I feel like I am running out of time quickly. It seems like my motivation is slipping or something.

I'm getting married in August as well -- does it feel like it is just around the corner to everyone at this point? I'm curious about how the original posters are doing?
I wasn't making any progress when my goal was 15 pounds ... now I'm focused on 4 at a time.

I am getting married in August 2012 too. I have about 10-15 more pounds to go and I seem to be stalled. Hopefully we call all help each other stay motivated before our special days get here.

Congrats on your weddings! If any of you stall in your weightloss or get bored, switch it up! I lost 50 lbs after my baby, so if you need/want any help or advice, hit me up! I know what it's like to want to look your best for your big day :)

Am also wedding next year even though i suspect it is going to be earlier than all of you guys. Most likely June. All my friends have rulled out the fact that i can loose some weight. I howeve want to do it for my self. The biggest challenge for me is exersisng. Could you please share the workout program you got from the knot?
Hi All. I am so glad to that there is a specific group concentrating losing weight for your wedding. Not to mention that we'll all be tying the knot in the same month :-). I need to loose 30kg before the big day. Fortunate we have enough time to loose the weight steadily and healthily! I hope to see lots of sharing and encouragement on this post!

I am getting married in August 2012, too. I would like to lose a total of 60 pounds - which should be achieveable if I can stick to this, I know I have to really dedicate myself. Holidays are always tough. Support is very important. I've been dieting for so many years, but I've never had to lose this much. I'd lose, then gain more back. I am also a stress and boredom eater..my first weigh-in is going to be Monday. I am following the calorie recommendation on this site. I've had alot of luck with Weight Watchers before, but I just got bored with it - as I did with any other plan - I seem to do well for two months max, then I get bored and start overeating again. Anyone have any pointers?
I'm also getting married August 2012 :) I am 3lbs away from losing a total of 50lbs so far, but it seems like I'm stuck at 196. Super frustrating! I'd like to lose at least another 30lbs, we'll see what happens! My motivation goes strong for awhile, but then for some reason I lose it for a week or two and that's where the damage happens. Hopefully I can find a way to keep my motivation in tact!!!
Hello! I am getting married in August of 2012 as well! I have 25-30lb to go till I reach my unltimate goal of 155lb lost! can't wait to get my dress!!! Hoepfully I will have to get it taken in ;)

I am also getting married in August of 2012! I have a goal to lose at least 45 pounds before then which would put me at a weight of 150. If I lose more than that, I won't complain! I am watching what I eat and working out for at least ten minutes everyday! I am working really hard and so far my efforts have started paying off!

I'm getting married in August 2012 too!!! I want to lose a minimum of 38lbs by then. Today was my first day of my official wedding diet. I decided to make small goals for myself and hopefully succeed. Over the next 6 weeks I hope to lose 13 lbs... then over the holidays I would like to lose 5 lbs... after the holidays are over I will start dieting hard again on January 1st. I really need to have lost 20lbs by Feb 1st so I can start trying on dresses. I know I would just get depressed if I started trying dresses on now.
If you want to keep in touch to motivate each other, that would be great!!!

I am getting married in August of 2012 also!!! Congratulations! I have a goal of 45 lbs to lose, and I am using a workout plan I found on theknot.com that is a 6 month program that is for beginners in fitness. Today was my first day of the workout plan. My problem is sticking with my calorie limit. I have a hard time with boredom and stress eating and using lack of time as my excuse to ok fast food. So my goal is to keep my calories in range for 2 weeks, then I will extend it out 2 more as I implement the workout plan! Good Luck!

hello everyone!! My name is Natasha but everyone calls me Tasha. I had a child two years ago (and no thats not my excuse for why i weigh what i do)....i weigh 250 and i'd like to lose 100 pounds by the time i walk down that isle...i do really good somedays and than it's like i give up....i just need to know how to keep my motivation going!!!...i'm really pumped about joining this group and i'll be happy to make some friends to help keep me motivated!
