on the tracker page, right under the search button, you will see a link to enter your own exercise. a box will pop up under the search bar and you can manually enter your own info.

One other question..is there any way to manually enter calories burned? I have a heart rate monitor and it does not match was SP puts as the calories burned during exercise. Thanks!

Does SP track macros/micros?

Yes. Look at the nutrition info on any item i the database. Be aware that user-submitted entries may be inaccurate or incomplete.

If so where can I view them?

Look under the report menu under My Trackers.

Can I set my own goals?

Of course. Just click on "change goals" on the start page.

Should I eat back my exercise calories?

Nope! Update your fitness goals accurately, and your calorie range takes those into account. Your range accounts for 30 minutes, 3 times per week by default. If you exceed that, you'll want to update your goals to account for your increased information.

Ever heard of eat more to lose..is it legit?

Yep. I'm living proof. You eat to support your activity level, and the more you exercise, the more you need to eat to support it!

Any comments on Intermittent Fasting?

It's one way of getting calorioes, but fasting as a general rule is no good for your body. YOu don't need to trick your metabolism to lose weight. Just stick with a healthy, balanced diet, an active lifestyle, and a healthy calorie deficit. SKip the tricks, shortcuts, and quick fixes.

I am new to SparkPeople but I have been using MyFitnessPal for about 6 months now. I read about SP on a website and thought I would give this a try. There are quite a few rude and discouraging people on MFP. Anyways I have a few questions that I was hoping to get answered..without sarcasm and rudeness! Thanks in advance!

Does SP track macros/micros?
If so where can I view them?
Can I set my own goals?
