My husband wants meatballs, so I'll be doing turkey meatballs in the crockpot. I've also done, in the past as a meal, turkey meatballs with reduced fat mozzarella and spaghetti sauce baked in the oven, Delicious. For our gameday this Sunday, I'm thinking of doing sort of a nacho bar for dinner. So, it might be more before the game, but we can eat whenever, and have more (if my calories allow it for me). I'll probably do veggies and guacamole to go with it.
You can also really slim down other party favorites. In addition to using the turkey meatballs, if you want sauce, use the reduced sugar/sugar free grape jelly and lower sugar BBQ. I've done pigs in blankets with turkey lil smokies and rediced fat crescents, as well as doing turkey lil smokies wrapped in bacon. I'd use center cut, but you could also use turkey bacon. Use Greek yogurt to make dill or spinach dip instead of sour cream. You can make your own chips by baking corn tortillas. I discovered this last night trying to save a bit of time warming our tortillas in the over, they got very crispy! When I've meant to do it in the past (with flower) is hasn't worked, but it did with these! LOL! With the brand I use, two small corn tortillas = 110 calories, so you could get a decent serving of "chips" for 150-200 calories. Use veggies instead of chips or bread for dips. You could do a great chili using extra super lean ground beef or ground turkey.

I have 3 kids and I am planning on doing, some baked chicken fingers, a big Taco salad( turkey burger, black beans, lettuce tomato, avacado, onion, salsa, and greek yougurt instead of sour cream), with chips on the side for the kids, a veggie tray , and some jambalya made with turkey sausage, shrimp and brown rice. . maybe some low fat cheese and whole grain crackers too. I also like to do make your own pizza, you can use tortillas for the crust, and add whatever toppings you like, my favorite is pesto, diced chicken, goat cheese and pear, sounds strange but delish!
