yesterday, I had just picked my 3 year old son up from daycare. I got him strapped in his car seat and was proceeding to put the car in reverse to back up when he said, "mama, when you get little, you sit in my car seat, and when I get big, I sit in your seat and drive." LOL!!

I was running a daycare in my home. My mom had died the week before. And this 3 year old asked me this. "When you mom died and went to heaven was she wearing her underwear...?

My kids are older, but... We went to Wal-Mart where my youngest (14) did a sample of a soda only to learn it was Coke. Of all the things for him to be allergic to, he is very allergic to Coca-cola. I asked him if he felt normal, he said "as normal as I ever do." I asked him if he was hot, he said "other than the physical no." Questions continued with similar answers, all a little mouthy, for a few minutes. My daughter (16) then points at him and says, "this is what happens when two smart-alecks reproduce." We couldn't help but laugh, it was great.
My 5 year old son was putting on his sneakers, but was trying to put the left shoe on his right foot. Without thinking I glanced at him and said, "You're putting your shoes on the wrong feet." He looked at me with all the confidence in the world and said, "Daddy... I only have one set of feet!"
I have another one the same daughter about the same age 2 to 3 years old. It was the Saturday before Easter. I was so exhausted from getting all the baking done for Easter which was the the next day, we also colored eggs etc. My daughter did not take her afternoon nap and she needed to, and I needed a nap as well, I was totally exhausted. She is one when special events get near she gets overly excited and cannot sleep as well as her usual, so nap time was a challenge. I kept telling her the Easter Bunny will not come if you do not listen to Mommy and take a nap. After many attempts she gets out of my bed and says, I will take a nap Mommy after I take a Dukie Nukie, she never heard that from us, she made that up herself and it was around the time her daddy would play Duke Nukem lol she made me crack up and I no longer was sleepy, so we both did not take a nap. I snickered all day over her saying that in reference to going potty lol
When my daughter was little her Dad and I were talking about going to Miami and it was the topic of our conversation for awhile. After it was quiet, my daughter looked at me and said, "Just where is your Ami??" It's been 22 years and I still chuckle over it!
When my daughter was 3 she had a little toy piano. One of the keys would not play, so she looked around to the back of the piano [it was really tiny]. While hitting the key, she saw that the little sound maker was bent upwards and could not make its sound. so she reached into the little tiny back, and pushed it back down ~ then hit the key again and it went "Plink!" She jumped up in the air, with a look of glee on her face and said, 'Mommy!!! I'm a plumber!!"
We have laughed about it ever since ~ she is 31 now with a daughter of her own 1 year old...and she is keeping a book of her own daughter's funny things!
GOOD ONE! When we took our 3 year old son to Stone Mountain to ride the choo choo train, there was a sign up that read, "board train here" I said, "look, it says board train here" My little boy looked up at me and said, "mama, I wanna ride the board train!"
My daughter at age 2 1/2 was cranky. She did not want to get dressed. She was always sweet, but this day she was a little mean but funny. As I was getting her dressed she said she wanted a new Mommy, I said you do, what kind of Mommy do you want. I want a black Mommy lol..why she would say that is unknown, we are a family that sees everyone as equal, all skins colors are beautiful. I guess she just thought black Mommys are nicer and won't make their kids get dressed if they do not want to lol...I did laugh because I expected her to say a "nice mommy" lol

When My daughter was about 4 she was watchin a cartoon called "Inspector Gadget." He was a detective always after bad guys. Well in one episode the bad guys where chasing him and they ran his van off a cliff. My daughter thought they killed him. She looked up at me and said "Mama....when I grow up I'm never gonna kill anyone! NOT EVEN MY OWN PARENTS!!!!" She's 25 now and so far she's kept her promise.
