My bet is that you're not eating enough. You have to account for your calories burned. If you are eating between 1200-1550 calories a day, and then burning off 500-1200 calories a day, your body is not going to let you lose weight without a fight. It doesn't seem logical, but sometimes you have to eat more to lose weight.

You should be counting your calories to make sure you're eating a balanced died (I consume far more than I believe I am when I don't track them). Your body might have plateaued, as well, because of the same exercise over and over. In order to make gains, you have to confuse the muscles and change up your routine! :)

I think that is great success!! Congrats -- focus on small goals, sometime the inches come before the scale moves . especially if you are exercising, you could be replacing lean muscle with fat :)

the other poster had a good point.

ARE you eating enough?

Lots of people have gained, initially, when beginning all that exercise.
Give yourself time, and evaluate your menu, too. Make sure you're feeding your muscles

Are you saying that you lost 10 pounds since this past Jan. 2013?

10 pounds lost in about 15 weeks while quitting smoking is pretty amazing!

How much weight were expecting to lose in that short amount?

Hi, that's great you've been making so many changes and working on your health so much emoticon something to check if you aren't losing weight is making sure you are actually eating enough calories, do you know if you are?

Last January I quit smoking, joined a gym, got a personal trainer for six months, took up jogging...started at 2 minutes and now jog 5km 5 to 6 times a week. I literally burn in between 500 to 1200 calories daily exercising because sometimes I'll jog 5KM and then later in the day hit a spin class. I've changed my eating habits and now eat 3 meals a day without exception! I eat more fruit and veggies and eat fish 3 times a week. I cut down on my carbs during dinner by having smaller portions. I rarely snack at night and if I do it's a bowl of grapes or 100 calorie popcorn. I eat whole wheat break and have protein with all 3 meals. I initially gained about 7lbs over a few months of joining the gym and am now about 10lbs less then when I started last January.

What am I doing wrong?????????? Any helpful advise or hints?????

Thanks!!
