I'm not a fan, I don't find them a very good value for the money, and don't find them very satisfying. However, they serve well as things that can be kept on hand for those "in a pinch" moments when you don't have time, energy or ingredients on hand to prepare something "from scratch."
They might not be as perfect as yogurt and fruit or a homemade lentil soup, but!!! They're a darn sight better than going out to a fast food joint for lunch or dinner!!

They are nice for the convenience (and way better than fast food!), but I tend to buy the same few entrees over and over again so I get bored. I'm not particularly concerned with my sodium intake, but I do find that a lot of them taste overly salty to me. I also end up adding red pepper flakes to almost everything :)

I eat them occasionally. I'm having one for lunch today actually because I ran out of leftovers to eat... my SO has had a big appetite all week after playing in a hockey tournament over the weekend, so he's eating more than normal :) I too eat the Healthy Choice Cafe Steamers because they taste pretty good, and have way less sodium than most (the one I'm eating today is around 500mg), plus OK amounts of protein and fiber and other vitamins. Definitely a much better option than going to get fast food. I combine mine with extra veggies, or like today, some string cheese to boost the protein.
I also relied on them a lot when I first started losing weight over a year ago. I was working full time and going to school at night, and spending my weekends doing errands and homework, so there just wasn't a whole lot of time to cook. Plus, they helped teach me portion control and how to feel satisfied on less, which was my biggest problem. Nowadays though I cook mostly from scratch and just rely on them when I'm in a pinch, like today.
But, if you can, try to wean yourself off of them. While they don't have crazy high sodium (like everyone seems to think they do) and generally have a good amount of vitamins etc, they still do have a lot of chemicals and stuff in them. Maybe work on cooking a real dinner 1 or 2 times a week, one that makes leftovers, so you can eat those most days instead.
they are okay as a last resort, but I'd prefer something fresh.

I like all foods - fresh is better - but frozen meals are good too Best for help in portion control - bad with salt content.. Making my own and controlling portion and salt is great for when I am in a hurry - but then I am a chef and my wife loves to cook - so what am I doing buying frozen meals for in the first place????
I totally avoid them, worse then the plague!! They are way too high in sodium!!

I was able to maintain my weight for several months, but now I have to get serious again as much of my hard work I let go of, putting my focus on another issue. I will keep on, until I get back to my goal.
I liked them myself. I think that sodium is the "non-preservative" they ad. Can't always be perfect, if it's helping you and you don't have the time to prepare something else, rock on.
When you do find the time, prepare a dish for 12 people and freeze in corresponding portions. That way you can have your own healthier frozen meals.

I think they are good when you really don't have a lot of time to prepare something in a pinch and they've come a long way from back in the day, just make sure you look at the sodium levels to make better choices.

Agree that you should not rely only on any frozen meals because of the sodium. check out all the ingredients on the packaging. Frozen meals are good standbys but variety is what is important.
I have been eating Healthy Choice Café Steamers for dinner and Lean Cuisine Spa Entrées for lunch. I find them to be very tasty and because I enjoy their flavors I feel satisfied when I add a salad. They have no preservatives....but are they healthy? What do you think and do you use them? It makes life so much easier, I am not sacrificing flavor....just don't know if they are healthy for real?
