WELCOME TO SPARK!!! Congrats on taking the first step into changing your life to a more healthier one by joining the site. Spark is filled with amazing people that will motivate, support and encourage you on your journey. There is so much to learn and discover here, take this one day at a time. A couple of things I would like to suggestion to make you Spark experience a great one.
1. Make goals for yourself. Each month I make a list of what I want to accomplish that month and break them down to smaller goals to work with week by week. This way the BIG picture doesn't seem so big.
2. Join Spark teams. There are tons of teams here and you will be able to find ones that fit to what you like or want in a team.
The key to success here is to be active and you've already started by joining. You will find that everyone is willing to help you out if you need it. WELCOME BACK! Alot of us drop out and come back. We just have to keep trying again and again until we get it right. Lifetime journey. I love my Sparkworld, and so will you!
Here are tips I put together to share with each new Sparkperson I meet. I am sharing it with you as reminders to help as you work toward reaching your goals!
The site can be overwhelming, take your time. Learn one topic at a time, when you get comfortable with it, move on to another area of the site. Soon you will be using all the tools SP has to offer, and loving it!
If you get stuck, and have a technical question about the site, here is a link to the Customer Support Team that is eager to help you: http://www.sparkpeople.com/community/hel p_support.asp (only technical questions, if you have a nutrition, fitness, or health question, post the question in the Forums, other Spark members will eagerly try to help you!
Use your Spark Points (click on view SparkPoints) as a map to the site. It is a good way to learn your way around and you can earn points to send yourself or others Sparkgoodies.
Go back to your Start Page if you get lost, you can get almost anywhere from there.
Be sure to use the nutrition tracker. You can ensure you are getting the proper nutrients as well as tracking your caloric intake and this is so important to any weight loss journey. Never "diet" again! Keep focusing on living a healthier lifestyle!
Read the book, THE SPARK for guidance, motivation and inspiration! Check out SPARKCOACH.com for extra support, motivation, and inspiration. I joined it, and LOVING IT! Great way to stay accountable!
Log on everyday to stay focused!

Excitedly, I introduce myself to you all. Hello! I am not exactly new to SparkPeople. I joined last August and quit within a week. I was well aware of the culprit: stress. I was reassigned to a different building at my job and completely lost control. Yet, I am glad that I am able to continue where I began. My goal is to get healthier by getting control of stress, exercising more, counting my calories, portion size control, increase my fiber, and become a life-long nutritional learner. I
