thanks everyone. I ended up putting my fitbit on when i got home and doing a little extra excerise just to show SOMETHING. :) So i know i got even more then usual.

That's how I feel when I forget my phone. I just remind myself that while it may not show up in writing, I still did it, and my body knows it.

I'm sure if you looked deep down, you'd realize that you don't actually believe that the exercise was a lost cause. Gadgets and gizmos can be a fun form of motivation, but you're not actually exercising just to see numbers on a little electronic device. You're doing the exercise to see positive changes in your body. And no worries -- your body registers everything - no special configuration necessary ;)

Aww, that's a bummer! I'm sorry you forgot your fit bit today. I forgot my cell phone when I left for work, then when I got home, I spaced out on taking my heart rate during my work out! Airheadddd.

Everybody forgets things from time to time. Although I don't know what my exact heart rate was, I know for sure that I worked out. Know how? My legs are a little sore. I was definitely pretty sweaty. I feel that wonderful combination of exhaustion and exhilaration that means: I did work!

I bet if you think about it, there are other signals that you had some great fitness minutes today. Regardless of whether or not your little FitBit buddy knows it, your muscles know. Your heart knows. Your lungs know. Your body knows - and that's definitely the most important thing!

Forgive yourself for forgetting, and remember it tomorrow! You still had an awesome day.

It's all there--you did it, but try not to let the device be your only motivator...give yourself credit that you did the work.

I forgot to put my fitbit on today. Its the first time since i got it that i have forgotten it... I'm so disappointed. Its the only thing that keeps me motivated. Now I feel like all my exercise was a lost cause since i cant "see it".
