Congrats - please let me know how you're doing it I am following he diet and exercising almost every day and I've lost 1/2 lb in 2 weeks. This is not a very good motivators and I need to know what I'm doing wrong.... I am often below 1100 calories in a day as I don't eat everything that is listed. Thanks for your help

Wow, JUlES1 you have an awesome story. I just started last week and I went from 272 to 268. I was gone for two weeks but I weighed myself today and I found out that I did not gain any weight back but I also lost four ounces. I did not think this was much to celebrate but a few ounces can go a long ways in making one happy.

I just joined Sparkpeople. We are quite similar in weight and in goals. I sure hope I can be just as successful as you with this. Keep going.... you are doing awesome!! And I think I'd be jumping up and down with joy too when I reach 180. :o)

I am in the 180's! 189 as of this morning on the scale. I woke everyone in the house up to share my news. This all got started in September/09 with a really, really horrible picture of me. That finally pushed me into realizing I looked every bit of my 242 pounds. I started then and lost a few pounds and realized real quick I couldn't do it alone. I stumbled across Spark People looking for an easier way to count calories. I was NOT interested in a community. I did not know that everyone could see my blog when I wrote my first. And that was it. I was hooked. All the feedback was so sweet. And motivating. Spark People has definitely helped me keep going. When the scale didn't show it, articles and Spark Buddies reminded me that it would eventually. When I got injured, Spark Buddies were there to check on me daily. When I was down, there were my Spark Buddies and there were articles to help. I still have a way to go, but I know for the first time that I will finish. And a large part of that is due to Spark People. From a size 20 to a 12! How can you not smile about that!
