I would treat your food & cake tasting like a meal out and maybe lighten up your other two meals to take into account the cake tasting. For our food tasting, we split 2 sides and 3 pieces of meat (chicken, salmon, & steak). It wasn't anything over the top. We didn't eat a full meal of each option we wanted to try. Make sure to drink water too during the tastings.

On Wednesday we are doing our food and cake tasting. I weigh in on Thursday mornings and don't want to have a bad weigh in. I am on a great track to succeed in my weight loss and don't want to mess it up.
I was thinking about eating fruit/vegs all day wed and then enjoying the tasting without worrying too much, but also being conscious of what I am eating. What is your opinion on how to handle the situation?
