Amy you should try again if your knees are better. I sometimes have some pain in my left calf. I wonder if the Tommy Cooper compression device would help. I saw that a lot of athletic people stand by this product. I may give it a try, after some research. emoticon

Jenny you should do the 5K, you can run- walk. It's okay if you can not run the whole 3.1miles. I started training on the treadmill. There is an article on sparkpeople about how to train for 5K. I was already doing this. It's a run-walk technique that you gradually build on. Now I jog the whole 3.1. emoticon emoticon . May try to start T25 today after my appointment. Have a great day everyone. emoticon .

emoticon Dana! My brother is running a 5k in about 3 weeks...I'd love to join him, but don't know if I will be ready (I'd really like to run the whole thing)... Before winter I could run 3+ miles but I didn't run much this winter so I kind of have to work up to that again. I plan to run along with doing T25.

Did week 2 day 1 cardio tonight! I felt like I did better than this time last week when I did it for the first time ever. emoticon

You guys are making me want to try a 5k again. I was training so I could run one and had to stop because my knee hurt so bad. I was up to 10 minutes of running, which I was so excited about and then had to stop walking even. I guess I can walk one and still be proud!!!
Finished the Total Body Workout. Tried doing the modifier only when I had to. I then followed that up with a 1 mile walk on the treadmill!! Feeling good and ready to eat spaghetti!!! (That might have a little to do with why I worked a little harder today. Lol)

That's awesome Dana! I plan on running my first 5k in the fall. Do you plan on keeping up with your current plan and adding T25 to it or are you going to substitute T25 for one of the routines you are currently doing?

I need to work on drinking more water! I try to drink 32 oz while at work, which sometimes ends up being hard for me. I even have a little note on my monitor that says drink water! I get so tied up in my work that I forget which is why I put the note up... Then I try to drink 32 oz at home (this is during the week)... Thanks for bringing this up...I am going to work harder to make sure I definitely drink at least 64 oz. each day.

emoticon good for you for always drinking enough water!

I just finished stretch... I am doing T25 after work - usually before dinner (this evening I did mine late). I am starting to incorporate some run/walks... I did another run/walk with my pup again this evening. Not planning on running every day, so some days Cooper (puppy) and I will just go for walks.

Good job on week one guys! emoticon looking forward to week 2! emoticon

My name is Amy. I am doing my workout after work as well. On Thursday I need to get up and do it before work because we will once again be traveling that day. I might need encouragement Wednesday night!!!! 😉
I have a 2 year old and he sleeps pretty good most nights but if he doesn't I can't make myself get up!
How much water are you guys drinking every day? I always drink 64 oz but lately have been drinking between 80 & 100.
Thank again to all of you for staying I'm touch on here...I look forward to our daily check-ins!!

Just finished cardio. Last week on Monday, I couldn't finish the last five minutes but today I nailed it. I too am doing as much as the regular version as I can and then switching to the modified. The pounds seem to be melting away. That may be the initial loss of water weight though. Who knows emoticon

Don't let the scale get you down Jenny. You may be losing fat and adding muscle. These workouts are pretty intense and work all of the muscles pretty good. We'll all be happy when we get to where we are going!

What time of the day are you guys doing your workouts? I'm doing mine in the afternoons when I get home from work.

Just a side note. What is everybody's name? (If you are comfortable sharing)
Mine is Jimmie.

Kicking off week 2 guys! Let's bring it!!! emoticon emoticon emoticon

I think it's amazing how different we all are. I took my measurements and nothing had changed but my weight had!!

I follow both...sometimes all the jumping and moving around fast gets me concerned that it would be easy to get injured. I do the regular for as much as I can and then the modifier when I don't feel I can do the regular... For me, it seems those last 4 seconds of some moves I can't continue with the regular so I switch to modifier...

I weighed myself today and gained about 1.5 pounds since starting T25. I have stayed within my calories and have been eating good. This happens to me though....I usually gain when I start some new exercise and it takes multiple weeks before I see the scale go down. That is one reason I decided to take measurements...hoping to see changes there even if the scale isn't moving down...

I do not wear a monitor. I have one but haven't worn it for t25.
Just finished Cardio and feel really good. Do you guys follow the modifier? I'm trying a little of both.
Lost 5 pounds so I guess all the "smart" eating paid off!!!!!
Here's to week #2....

I have a polar ft4...up until recently I had no complaints. Then not to long ago I tried using it and it wasn't registering my heart rate to the watch all the time. I thought maybe the battery on the transmitter needed to be changed - even though it says the consumer can change the battery I can't get the battery area to open and have taken it to multiple jewelers who can't open it either. I detached the transmitter for a day and then hooked it back up to the chest strap and now it works fine. So I never changed the battery but when this battery really does die I won't be able to change it unless I send it off to polar. I got the HRM because I liked the idea of being able to change the batteries myself, so this was disappointing. I'm sure not everyone has this problem, but in searching online it does seem like there have been a decent amount of people that have had the same difficulties I have. Meanwhile I bought another chest strap/transmitter that is supposed to work with what I have and it claims that changing the battery is more user friendly...I'm supposed to be receiving it tomorrow, so we shall see... This is the only HRM I've had.

Sorry this was so long!

Did lower focus and cardio today. Phew! My legs are beat! LOL are any of you wearing a heart rate monitor while doing these work outs? I am and I always feel good at the end when I see how many calories it says I burned.

My puppy is a mix - a cavapoo (cavalier King Charles spaniel and poodle mix) - he is about 15 pounds. this winter has been really hard because of all the below normal temps we've had...some pretty frigid temps that have kept it so he can't even play outside so I haven't been able to take him on walks again until very recent. We were walking very regularly this fall and the first part of winter... When we would go for walks I would do sprints and he *loves* that...helped him get some of that energy out!

emoticon good job guys!!! emoticon

I took my 10 month old puppy for what started as a walk but I have been wanting to see if I could go running with him so we did a 1.5 mile run/walk. Felt great and he did good :) (and he didn't trip me! That was what I was concerned about while running) and now I just finished the ab intervals workout...I can say that is a good ab workout because my abs are feeling it! LOL tomorrow is the day I have to do two. I also took my before pictures today...that was depressing! Now I can't wait to take pictures after I am done with alpha...hoping to see visible changes! I will be taking measurements shortly.

I also want to say thanks to you guys for continuing to post...it is much more fun and helps keep my motivation up emoticon emoticon

I did. I struggled through the last 5 minutes but I made it! I realized that my workout calendar was thrown off. I did all the right workouts but I did them on the wrong days so i'm going to do a workout today and then start week 2 on Monday. Staying in your calorie range all week is definitely something to brag about though. emoticon You definitely made good choices with eating at home vs eating doughnuts. Resisting the temptation of your favorite onion rings is awesome. It's little things like that that let us know we can do this!!

Way to go DANAKA!! Let us know when it arrives. You're going to love it.

Keep going guys!!!!

JIMBOB, I feel the same way!! Did you do both workouts yesterday?
Danaka-yay! Let us know when you get them so we can continue to cheer you on!
Jenny- how are you doing?
I think I will take today completely off-I'm going shopping though so I will get some walking in!! I don't like to "brag" on my accomplishments but...I have stayed in my calorie range so far this week!! I always do really good during the week but then we go to my moms and things fall apart! And we've been here since Thursday and eaten out every meal!! I have eaten breakfast at home while everyone else has gotten doughnuts. And I've either looked ahead at the menu/calories or just tried to order carefully!! Today I ordered just a sandwich...no fries or onion rings! (Runzas onion rings are my favorite and everyone else ordered fries/rings!)
Yay me!! Sorry this is so long but I know you guys understand the "little things!"

I definitely look forward to it as well. I think if we continue to support each other, I can really stick to this program. It is really fun but I know there will be days when I really don't want to get up and workout. I know I will though if I have to post about my progress that day. emoticon

I haven't taken before pictures yet but was thinking about doing that tomorrow. I haven't taken measurements either yet...easier to do on the weekend when I have more time! And then I plan to keep track every week besides weighing myself. I think I might see better results with measurements than weight loss.

I am hoping to start tonight! I had to switch my off day to Fridays because they are always really hectic, so my plan is to have my weeks start on Tuesdays, off day is Friday, and the double day is Sunday with stretch on Monday. I am also not planning on following the meal plans, but plan to go with lean proteins and trying to incorporate more fruits and veggies into each day.

Is anyone planning to start Focus T25 anytime soon? I'd like to start today. I'm going to do my very best to stay committed to the end of the program but I know it will really help if I find someone who would like to start the program with me and hold me accountable for each day. Would anyone like to start or have any tips for me?
