If the walking elevates your heartrate into the cardio zone for at least 10 minutes at a time, then I'd track it as exercise. If not, then I'd just consider it a bonus to your workouts and wouldn't track it.

Hope that helps,

Coach Jen

Yes, walking at 3 MPH is cardio. Light cardio, but definitely cardio.

I am trying to update my fitness tracker and am need of a little guidance.

I do bootcamp 4 days a week (mixer of cardio and strength training).

I also walk for 20 minutes at lunch (at 3mph) and then walk my dog at night for about 30 minutes. Should I consider the 50 minutes of walking to be part of my cardio - even at the speed of 3mph?

I just want to make sure I have everything entered correctly for SP to calculate my calorie range.
