Wow Kristen you look great.. congrats on hitting your goal. I am so wanting to hit my goal and am back at it again... A new year and hoping a new me.. I dont like to guess on these DVD for the calorie so I will invest in a HRM... thanks for your imput and support..

Most of my DVD are cardio but a few are strength. I think my Ipod has that kind of monitor on it I will check and if so start using it.. thanks for you help..

I agree with Coach Nancy about getting a HRM! Before I had my HRM, I used SP's estimations for Jillian Michaels workouts, which turned out to be way under (by at least half) what I was burning according to my HRM.

Hi,

It depends on if the DVD you are doing is cardio based or strength based. If your DVD is a cardio based program, you may want to use the general aerobic option or consider investing in a heart rate monitor that calculates calories burn which will allow you to manually enter in the calories burn figure.

For the fitness excersie how do I know how many calories I am burning when I do a fitness DVD?
