I love my fitbit. It is very durable. I washed and dried it and it is still going strong.

FitBit One is the model I have, so I should be able to answer any questions you have. It will track your steps, distance, calories burned, flights of stairs climbed. Again, there is also a mode where you can track your sleep if you want.

It will automatically break down how much time you spend being sedentary, lightly active, fairly active, and very active.

It will sync with SparkPeople or MyFitnessPal (and lots of other apps I don't even use) so you can track your food here using SP and it will automatically update your fitbit food log too. My FAVORITE part about syncing is that SP and MFP will automatically calculate calories you burned so you don't have to log your walking/running separately.

Those are the big things Fitbit One does and the things that I like most. There is also a community/group challenges you can compete in and see your ranking (although I think SP has a few of those here too using the fitbit sync feature). If you have friends with fitbit, you can add them to your fitbit profile and compete with them too.

I was looking at getting the Fitbit One, since it had the better reviews and seemed...I guess better? lol

yes it is a pedometer, but it also displays the number of stairs, calories burned (all day-- not just through exercise). As the PP, i love mine. It is my little buddy and goes everywhere.
If you are on Facebook, they have a group but you need to be invited in. You can look at the site and message the organizers who will invite you in. They have awesome challenges and lots of good advice.

It is a pedometer and also a sleep tracker, although I don't get much use out of that feature. I used it a for about a week out of curiosity, but it confirmed what I already knew - I don't really have any sleeping difficulties. Some people love that tool, though!

Fitbit features vary based on the model you're looking at. Did you have a preference for one or the other at the moment?

So is it basically a fancy pedometer then? Or what all does it do, because when I look at the website, unless I'm an idiot, it just sounds like it's a pedometer.

I don't know anything about the Bodybugg, but I LOVE my Fitbit One. Best $99 I ever spent. I bought one for my mother last Christmas and she loves her too. I wear mine every day and love that I can sync it with SP and myfitnesspal. It takes some of the guess work out of track exercise. I also enjoy setting goals and seeing how many steps I can cram into a day at the office. Highly, highly recommend it!

Oh and by the way, your avatar is amazing. Lol!

I've been thinking of getting a Fitbit or a Bodybugg. Is it worth the extra money or should I save my money? Also, which one is better if you think it's worth the money
