I'm sticking to my good old pedometer, don't need all that other stuff, have a life to live, lol.

From what I understand they just made some improvements on the ultra and came out with the "One"

The way it docks and syncs, the design of the clip etc.

I have the Ultra, I bought it last April and love it, but it doesn't sync with my iPod or cell.
The One does but that's not a big enough deal for me to switch out for the newer version!

I have fitbit Zip (lime green love the color) and I love it! I don't feel the need to record sleep. I wanted it to record steps and calorie burn and it does that and I'm very happy with my zip!

I'm wondering why they replaced the Ultra. That's what I have and I don't think it's been around that long. I got it Christmas 2011, but that's just over a year. I THINK it was fairly new at that time.

Anybody know? As best I can see, the only difference is the packaging, NOT the function.

The thing that I think gives the new bracelet fitbit a bit of an edge is that it is water resistant. When I first got my fitbit one I accidentally left it on my bra and washed it. Thank goodness it survived it, but I would certainly feel safer knowing it was built to get at least a little wet.

The FitBit Zip is the least expensive.
It records steps taken, calories burned and distance traveled.
It clips on to pants, bra, etc.

The FitBit One is $99.00 and replaced the FitBit Ultra.
It records steps taken, calories burned, distance traveled, stairs climbed and quality of sleep.
It clips on to pants, bra, etc. or can be worn on wrist band for sleep recording.

The FitBit Flex is now being pre-ordered for $99.00
It records steps taken, calories burned, distance traveled, stairs climbed, activity level and quality of sleep.
It is a wrist band device.

The recording of the quality of sleep lets you know, how often you are waking up, how many actual hours of sleep you are getting, how long it takes you to get to sleep, etc. While in and of itself it can't improve your quality of sleep, I find knowing this info has helped me see areas of weakness in my sleep and helped me to work on areas that need improving.

Check out the website for Fitbit on Fitbit.com it really explains all the differences between the models. And no I don't work for Fitbit although I should own stock I have gotten them a lot of business!!

I would like to get the one that records your sleep! But what will that info do for you?

The fitbit zip, the cheaper one doesn't have all the options that the Fitbit One has.
Look at the options you want and decide from there.

Which fit bit is better the one that is 99 or the one that is 59? just curious cause one is slim and the other has a belt loop, do they both connect to the computer? I really am thinking about getting one!!!

I like FitBit and I looked at this when it was advertised on my fitbit site, but then I figured there would be times when a wristband wouldn't be appropriate to wear. I have become obsessed with wearing my fitbit all the time. Since I place it on my bra, no one can see it, but a plastic wristband would be noticeable at a formal dinner!

Is there anyone thinking of preordering the Fitbit flex wireless activity + sleep wristband, that sort of looks like a bracelet?

I guess this is to be more competitive with jawbone's bracelet.
