Had dinner unexpectedly at a friends house. I was careful with the choices I made, avoided the "snacky" foods and had one bite of dessert (off DH's plate). However, I don't know what my calorie count would be with the dishes I ate.

Today was a very hard day to track. I was careful with the choices I made, but I'm unable to figure the nutrition since I ate brought in salads for the funeral luncheon. I do have my meals mapped out for the coming week and I'm ready to make a strong finish to the first month of 2011!!

Harder day because of the afternoon funeral. I was able to be accurate with the food I ate but I know I went over calories. I did make an effort to make good choices and not over eat. Another funeral tomorrow morning.

Sunday, Jan. 16 was a royal bombing day!! These was a potluck at church for lunch and a baby shower later in the afternoon. I tried to eat "wisely" and didn't eat much as far as sweets. But I found it frustrating to try and journal and by the end of the day I felt like I had over eaten!! I got back into focus today and hope faithfulness throughout this week makes up for it.

Another snow day. The past 2 days have been a real challenge with eating. I've made changes in my meal plans. Usually I just journal the changes on my chart. Because of a team challenge, I've been entering them in the nutrition tracker as well. That was a real eye opener!! I took in a lot more calories than I thought. Must do a lot less changing and be more careful with the changes I do make!

God has been teaching me a lot. One thing I am realizing more and more is that the number on the scale is not as important as what I do each day to keep myself healthy. This year I am focusing on what I need to sow and trust God for the harvest results at the appropriate time. These are the areas I am tracking daily:
