Spinning was hard at first, but I was also 60 lbs heavier and had not been doing any exercise. The first month (I took class once a week) it was hard and I basically stayed in the saddle because I didn't have enough muscles in my legs to take me out of the saddle. I have been doing spinning for 15 months once a week and I love it! I think you should try and see how you do with it.

Today I went to my first zumba class! I had a 45 minute spinning class and then a fifteen minute break and started my hour long zumba class. I was sweating a lot, but it was a great workout and it didn't feel like exercise. I signed up for 4 more weeks and I might continue taking it.
