Hi there! I'm Nicki and I'm 21, nearly 22. A few months ago I was correctly diagnosed with PCOS after thinking for nearly 6 years that I had cervical cancer. (Stupid doctor misdiagnosed) So you can imagine the bittersweet moment when my new doctor said "You don't have cancer! (YAY!) But you have PCOS (What?)" and I was told that chances are that I have had it since I was about 11 or so. lol So after I spent a lot of time researching the syndrome, I realized that it actually made sense. I decided to diet. Not a fad diet or miracle pills either. I cut sugar out of my diet about 95%, replacing it with sucralose, and I added vitamins to my diet. I am taking a super b-complex, a prenatal, two cranberry pills (to keep my system flushed), and 2000mg of cinnamon with chromium (2 pills twice a day). In 1 month, I have already lost 17lbs. I feel great and I am confident that I will reach my goal of 200, maybe not by February, but I will get there one day! I am not letting PCOS hold me back anymore!
