Last Spring, I had a biopsy, since my gynecologists thought I couldn't possibly still behaving a period at 57. The results indicated a full hysterectomy in mid-May(very successful--a fibroid had "superficial" cancer, I had no menopause symptoms and quick healing). BUT in the hospital they discovered I had diabetes 2, and had to even give me several insulin shots (id been on glucose drip!). I had started back on Spark People, but this diagnosis was the most powerful motivator I'd had. I began walking right away, tracking religiously, signed up for Spark Coach, danced in my living room. Since Mid-May I've lost 15 lbs without stress, even though a wrenched knee kept me from exercise for two weeks.

I've also made progress on two books
