Don't push yourself to working out if you're not feeling well. That could just make things a lot worse. Especially if you haven't eaten much; you won't have the power or energy for it. Eat light, get rest, drink some fluids, and you'll be able to get back to it later this week!

Definitely skip it if you're that ill. IF you want to make up for it when you're feeling better later on in the week (but I don't think it's necessary) just do an at home fitness video from youtube or something.

For colds I usually workout... for flus, stomach issues, fevers etc. I don't.

"Toning" is marketing muscles to women who are afraid if they pick up a barbell, they'll leave the gym looking like She-Hulk. It doesn't happen, what does happen is you get results. Lifting Barbie weights does nothing but waste time.

skip the workout, especially if you are overheating. don't want heat stroke on top of whatever else is going on.

You are better off having a day of to get better after all you don't need to exerciser every day. Have a rest and get better

The previous poster offered some good suggestions. Don't feel bad about skipping your workout if you are sick. Your body may need the rest to help you get better. If you insist on doing something physical, keep it short and light, like a leisurely walk around the neighborhood. I know it's not a true "workout," but it is activity, and I know it's usually more than enough for me when I'm not feeling well. But honestly, if you feel like the rest would do you good, take a rest day. You can always work out another day.

For gastro-intestinal distress, often the recommendation is bananas, rice, applesauce, toast (dry). I tend to choose applesauce first. Then later when I start feeling better, a little plain rice. Hope you feel better soon.

And no, don't work out if you feel nauseated. Just do your workout tomorrow or whenever you're better.

I only exercise 4 days a week as it is, and today I'm just feeling off. I've been fighting the urge to retch all day, and I keep overheating. I feel bad skipping my work out though.

Also, I have no idea what to eat. I ate some cheese and crackers a couple of hours ago, probably around 2-3pm, and I'm actually afraid to eat anything heavier...however, no soup here. Any ideas?
